Proudly we present the results of our European championships nunchaku-do that were held at March 14th and 15th in Beek the Netherlands.

In all our 3 disciplines (kumite, kata and freestyle) people from: Belgium, England, Finland, France, Hong Kong, Kuwait, the Netherlands and Spain did compete.

Registration for the European Championship is closed. The pools are known. We have participants from the following countries: Belgium, England, Finland, France, Hong Kong, Kuwait, the Netherlands, and Spain.

The schedule for the weekend of March 14 and 15 is as follows.

Saturday, March 14, kata and freestyle:

10:00    Opening + drawing kumite -1.55 -1.75 -1.85 +1.85
10:30    Kata
12:20    Break
13:20    Opening afternoon session
13:25    Freestyle
14:38    Prepare field freestyle
14:43    Kata final
15:46    Freestyle final
16:25    Prepare field for awards ceremony
16:30    Awards ceremony freestyle kata
17:30    Closing

Kata: each participant performs her or his kata twice. Per class, each participant performs the kata for the first time. Afterwards, each participant performs the kata for the second time. Both scores are added together. The top three proceed to the final. The number 1 from the preliminary round may choose whether he or she performs the kata first, second, or third in the final. The number 2 from the preliminary round may choose from the two remaining positions. The number 3 gets the last position in order in the final. The two points from the preliminary round and the point from the final, added together, determine the final result. The three points are summed together.

Freestyle: each participant shows their freestyle once. The three best go through to the final. The number 1 from the preliminary round may choose whether she or he performs the kata first, second, or third in the final. The number 2 from the preliminary round may choose from the two remaining spots. Number 3 gets the last spot in order in the final. The score from the preliminary round and the score from the final added together determine the final result. The two scores are added together.

Kumite: the order of the participants in the four largest classes (-1.55; -1.75; -1.85 and +1.85) will be drawn on Saturday in the presence of everyone. The top two from the class proceed to the final. The result of the final match determines the winner. The loser is second.

Registration European championships nunchaku

The board of the WNA is proud to announce the 2026 European championships nunchaku.

These championships contain all disciplines: kumite (fight), kata (form) and freestyle (musical form). You can choose your favorite. The date is March 14th and 15th 2026. The disciplines kata and freestyle are held on Saturday 14th. The discipline kumite is held on Sunday 15th. The location is sports estate De Haamen, De Haamen #1, NL-6191 HV Beek, the Netherlands.

After a sportive championship with a lot of fair play we can show you te results. Jiritsu nunchaku and judo club did organize these championships perfectly in the north of the Netherlands in Groningen. Everything went well during the championships. The WNA and SNN are proud of all contestants, all officials and especially Bernard Roessen and Michel Nijenhuis.
